Frontera Display was developed to honor the 40-year struggle of the CONFENIAE (Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Ecuadorian Amazon) for a documentary commemorating their resistance. I took inspiration from archive footage that documents the indigenous march of '92. This typography reclaims and maintains the original aesthetic created by the legendary activists. My role AS A DESIGNER was to revive the strength and authenticity of their past fights through an original typeface.
Frontera Display comes in one weight and supports Kichwa, Spanish, English and French and it is free to download.
